This Privacy Policy explains how the Govix TV app (“the App”) collects, uses, and safeguards information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Data We Collect

We designed Govix TV to collect the minimum information necessary to deliver streaming features.

Usage Data: diagnostics, in-app events, performance data (e.g., crash logs, error messages, device model, OS version).
Device & Connection Info: IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), app version, network type—used for streaming quality and fraud prevention.
Contact Information (optional): if you email us at [email protected], we receive your email address and message contents.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of data (e.g., health, financial, biometric) and we do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Use Data

Provide, operate, and improve streaming and app functionality.
Monitor performance, fix bugs, and enhance stability.
Protect against abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
Respond to your support requests and communications.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. App Permissions & Purpose

The App may request certain permissions to deliver core features. We only use them for the purposes listed below:

INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – stream content and detect connection state.
WAKE_LOCK – keep device awake during video playback to prevent interruptions.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) – optional, to alert you to important updates; disabled unless you allow it.
READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (legacy devices) – only if you use features that cache media thumbnails; on newer Android versions we use scoped storage.

If the App requests any new permission in the future, it will be used only to enable a clearly described feature and will remain optional whenever possible.

5. Sharing & Transfers

No sale of data: we do not sell your personal information.
Service Providers: we may share limited data with trusted vendors that help us operate the App (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, content delivery). They are bound by confidentiality and use limits.
Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Transfers: if data is processed outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable laws.

6. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Support emails are retained as long as necessary to handle your request.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we continually improve our protections.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Access/Correction/Deletion: contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.
Opt-Out: you can disable optional permissions in Android settings and limit analytics by your device privacy controls.
Regional Rights: depending on your location (e.g., EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have additional rights. We honor valid requests under applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.
